We would like to operate a mail server and web server / sql server with our LTE connection (IPv6 dynamic public IP). Unfortunately, our mobile communications provider does not offer fixed IPv4 addresses.
We have a Vserver at IONOS and can install Pfsense there. We need the fixed IPs of IONOS Vservers on our LTE connection. The connection should work via OpenVPN server/client.
The fixed IPs should be passed through to the local connection via a VPN tunnel, so that we get two fixed IP addresses on the local server.
The ports should communicate in both directions via UDP and TCP.
I look forward to your feedback, thanks in advance… Can your router handle this?
I do not understand exactly what the router should do? Of course, the VILFO router can connect to a VPN server of the same protocol via OpenVPN client or via Wireguard client. And the VILFO router has also the server functions integrated. But the question is, you want to run a VPN server with a fixed IP address and the router should connect to it to be able to be reached via its IP. This is not so much a question of whether the router will be able to do this, but whether you will know how to configure the VPN server on the server. And in addition, this will of course also concern a question of security. Because you make the router accessible from the outside, then this is if he is not securely set up also in danger.
