Disney+ has settled the sharing question itself
Since autumn 2024, a Disney+ account in Germany is tied to a household — the devices streaming over the same internet connection. Anyone outside is added by the account holder as an extra member: one per account, with their own profile and password, paid through the main account. That is the intended route. Like Netflix, Disney+ detects access from outside the household and asks for confirmation.

Against the extra member, the shared slot saves €47.88 a year; against your own Standard plan, €95.88. That is considerably more than with Netflix, because the Disney+ slot is priced lower and the extra member higher.
Which route fits
- Someone in your household has Disney+? You need nothing — the same account covers every device on the connection.
- Family or friends with a plan who live elsewhere? The extra member at €6.99 is the clean route: no confirmation prompts, no risk of losing access. €5.99 on the ad-supported plan.
- Nobody you know has a plan and you want to pay as little as possible? The shared slot at €3.00 is the cheapest option — with the caveats below.
- You only watch a few weeks a year? One month of Standard with ads at €6.99 is often the simplest: subscribe, watch, cancel.
What you accept with a shared slot
- Disney+ checks the household. A slot in someone else’s group can trigger a confirmation prompt. GamsGo then provides a replacement slot — that is what you pay the platform for, rather than buying privately.
- Picture quality depends on the group. A Premium group gives you 4K; a Standard group Full HD. The listing states which.
- You are not the account holder. The profile and watch history are yours, the account is not. Payment details or e-mail cannot be changed.
- No VPN as a workaround. Trying to fool the household check with a VPN is more likely to get noticed than to help, and it breaches the terms of use.
