What Tidal costs in 2026
Tidal scrapped the old split between HiFi and HiFi Plus in 2024. Every plan now includes lossless FLAC, HiRes up to 24-bit / 192 kHz and Dolby Atmos. The prices:

What GamsGo charges for Tidal
GamsGo sells a slot in a Tidal Family plan. You receive the credentials of an account that is a member of a Family group – not your own account, and no invitation to your e-mail address. The terms:

Auto-renewal is switched on by default at checkout and can be disabled. If access fails, GamsGo replaces it for the remaining term.

The gap between the GamsGo slot and a fully occupied Family plan is 99 cents a year. With Tidal, price is not the deciding factor – whether you can gather five people is, and whether an account of your own matters to you.
What Tidal requires for Family
Tidal describes Family as a plan for your own household: one owner, up to five members. We are not aware of an active address check like Spotify’s. Every member has their own account with their own collection, mixes and listening history; the owner only sees who is in the group. With a GamsGo slot, by contrast, you share a profile with whoever had it before you.
Which route fits
- You can find five people? Buy Family, €3.67 per person with your own account. Clear winner.
- You can find two people? Family split three ways is €7.33 a head – twice the GamsGo slot, but with your own library.
- You are on your own? The shared slot at €3.58 saves €113 a year against Individual. With the limitations below.
- You are a student? Student at €6.99 is the cheapest route to an account of your own.
- CD quality is enough? Then look at Deezer: the GamsGo slot there costs €2.96.
What you accept with a shared slot
- Someone else’s account. Your collection, playlists and listening history live in an account that is not yours. When the slot ends, it is all gone. Back up playlists with a transfer service first.
- Device limit. Tidal allows offline downloads on only a few devices per account. If the previous user filled them, you have to remove devices from the account.
- Tidal Connect and hi-fi systems. Streamers from Bluesound, Naim or WiiM bind the account tightly. Every change of credentials means pairing the system again.
- Terms of use. Tidal does not allow sharing with strangers; in the worst case the account is suspended. It is not a criminal matter.
Frequently asked questions
Do I get HiRes and Dolby Atmos through the shared slot?
Yes, Family includes the same quality as Individual: FLAC up to 24-bit / 192 kHz and Dolby Atmos on supported devices.
Does the slot work with my DJ software?
No. Access through Serato, rekordbox or djay requires the DJ plan, which GamsGo does not offer.
Does Tidal really pay artists more?
Tidal advertises higher payouts per stream than Spotify. With a shared slot, correspondingly less flows, because six listeners share one subscription – the same applies to Family.
Can I bring my playlists over from Spotify?
Yes, Tidal offers its own import; services such as Soundiiz or TuneMyMusic work too.
Other music services and platforms
